Why is there a difference in the expected and actual result?« Back to Questions List

I created a PSD file with resolution 1080x1920. When i created the Android UI, the view i got was very different. The Android UI view was smaller than the actual PSD view when i worked with only shapes. Also, when i tried creating an Android UI file with a PSD screen containing images, the resultatnt screen was too big to fit inside the Android screen of same resolution. Is this the result you would expect? As my expectations were not what i finally got.

Hi,

This is an easy fix. You must read our guides for creating Android UI. Adobe uses a custom Pixel, Android uses DPI – they are not the same: //exportkit.com/learn/how-to/advanced-guide/working-with-android-and-multiple-screens

EXAMPLE: 800px in your PSD will target 2560 xhdpi – you must consider pixel to dpi conversion or download our Android PSD templates and start there.
