Layer Effects and Styles Support
This PSD shows support for shapes and text in your design with various layer effects applied to each. Shapes are native to most environments but effects and text are rendered differently in each browser and device.
Use Stroke Effect for Borders
Shape borders are considered an effect in many environments so Export Kit uses the Stroke Effect to render shape borders – read more.
Use Shapes to Save Bandwidth
If your design has a solid color, or an effect that can be applied to a shape – then use a shape! Images must always download to the client computer costing additional bandwidth – read more.
Enable SVG Paths for Vectors
You must enable SVG Paths to render SVG elements in your output. This will create an SVG Path rather than a native shape element – read more.
Caution With Effect Size
Depending on your effect and the angle, your element size may change to reflect the effect applied to the element – read more.
